Now Hiring: Tutor (Social Studies, English, Math, and Science) 

Middle and High school level students including GED prep

Hours: Flexible Scheduling – School Day, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends

About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential? We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Tutor to provide individualized instruction and academic support across multiple subject areas - with emphasis on Social Studies and English , as well as Math and Science . This position is ideal for educators, substitute teachers, or experienced tutors who excel in differentiated instruction and enjoy motivating learners of all abilities.

What You'll Generally Do

• Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring tailored to each student's learning style and academic goals.
• Reinforce key skills, study strategies, and test preparation techniques.
• Assist with coursework aligned to Regents and other state academic standards.
• Use engaging teaching methods and technology (e.g., Smart Boards, online platforms, interactive tools) to enhance learning.
• Communicate with teachers and coordinator as needed to support student progress.

Preferred Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher Education or related field
• Experience teaching or tutoring across multiple grade levels
• Familiarity with Regents requirements and New York State curriculum standards.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse learners, including special education students .
• Reliable, organized, and passionate about helping students succeed.
