POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fulfill a dual role in Safety Management and Skilled Trades Recruiting . This position requires strong interpersonal skills, field experience in construction or safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment. While primarily office-based, the role includes regular field engagement to support clients and workers on job sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Coordination (Primary)

  • Serve as the main point of contact for client safety concerns, including injury response and on-site support.
  • Conduct regular safety audits at client shops and job sites to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate employee incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with the corporate insurance department.
  • Lead and attend safety meetings; ensure timely and professional reporting and follow-ups.
  • Be available for emergency safety support, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Recruiting (Secondary)

  • Fulfill client staffing needs by sourcing, screening, and onboarding skilled construction trade professionals.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through job postings, community outreach, job fairs, and referrals.
  • Conduct interviews, verify qualifications, inspect tools, and evaluate trade skills.
  • Coordinate interviews with clients and ensure timely placement of workers.
  • Complete all associated documentation including I-9s, background checks, drug screens, and hiring forms.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and candidates to ensure smooth communication and accurate reporting.
  • Assist with HR-related tasks, payroll resolutions, and reporting duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and willingness to learn new software systems

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in safety or recruiting/staffing OR
  • 5+ years of experience in a construction skilled trade
  • Experience with accident investigation, safety audits, and insurance claim handling
  • Familiarity with staffing software and cloud-based reporting tools
