Position: Electronics Technician III
Location: On-Site | Columbus IN 47201
Pay Rate: $26/hourly
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Note: For the first 1–2 months, the employee will train on the day shift (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST, flexible 8-hour schedule) to learn test systems, processes, teams, and lab operations. After training, the role transitions to night shift.
Strong knowledge of electronic circuits
Proven troubleshooting skills with systems and equipment
Experience with electronic tools and data measurement systems
Background as an electronics technician or in a similar role
High school diploma or equivalent
5–7 years of relevant experience
When the manager is ready, candidates will be invited for 45-minute in-person interviews
The Electronics Technician III will support CSE Controls Lab operations during the night shift. This position focuses on troubleshooting, system setup, tool development, and general lab operations support .
Monitor and complete assigned Work Orders through the lab’s work order system
Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and test system hardware setup and maintenance
Troubleshoot and resolve daily software and hardware issues on test systems and equipment
Support daily system setups and setup changes for HIL systems and equipment
Ensure test benches are properly configured with required software (e.g., CyberApps plant models, LUIS configurations, support sequences)
Modify existing test bench wiring harnesses and create peripheral connections to integrate engine parts, instruments, and sensors
Maintain accurate system configuration documentation (hardware, cards, serial numbers, load drawer style, etc.)
Conduct system setup, calibration, and process improvements
Maintain CAN panel configuration documentation
Perform harness maintenance and scheduled checkouts, coordinating updates with the appropriate teams
Configure and maintain actuator carts
Manage overall system and lab maintenance activities
Conduct hardware checkouts and follow-ups on equipment returns
Collaborate with Hardware Engineers for project support needs
Develop and document custom electronic test hardware (e.g., ROM boot setups, harness creation, integrating power supplies, instruments, etc.)
Provide general daily lab support
Contribute to troubleshooting guide development and updates
Support training and documentation updates
Assist with inventory and lab upkeep
Participate in continuous improvement projects
