Job Title: Nurse Manager
Job Summary
The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of patient care services within assigned units or care delivery sites. This role ensures quality clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and staff performance while supporting strategic organizational objectives. The Nurse Manager provides leadership in planning, directing, and evaluating nursing services and serves as a key member of interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess care delivery requirements and plan strategies to meet patient population needs.
Ensure high standards of clinical practice, patient care services, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and achieve program, service, and staff performance objectives, including financial and productivity goals.
Oversee staff competency, performance, and adherence to professional standards.
Communicate short- and long-term plans and objectives to nursing staff.
Participate in organizational committees, workgroups, and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligibility under Compact state agreements.
Current CPR certification required.
BSN required; Masters degree with management coursework preferred.
Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of professional/supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer relations skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and apply computer systems to manage patient information.
