We're Hiring: Pediatric Dietitian!
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Pediatric Dietitian to provide specialized nutrition care for infants, children, and adolescents. This Pediatric Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy and counseling across a pediatric population. This role supports various outpatient programs as well as inpatient nutrition coverage within a leading children’s hospital.
Location: Baltimore, MD
Role: Pediatric Dietitian - Travel Assignment
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (5x8 - Hour Shifts)
Remote Flexibility: 1 remote day per week (optional)
First-time travelers accepted
What You'll Do
Assess patients' nutritional status
Develop appropriate medical nutrition therapy care plans
Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers
Document recommendations for treatment in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR) per facility policy (Meditech required)
Communicate effectively with coworkers and families to ensure the appropriate nutrition care plan is implemented and followed
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with medical, nursing, and rehab staff
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members
Perform duties and responsibilities for both designated inpatients and ambulatory care patients
Function as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient nutrition care plans
Comply with all hospital-wide and departmental policies and procedures
Education Requirements
What We're Looking For:
Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
Completion of required coursework, Dietetic Internship, and successful passing of the CDR exam
If CDR exam passed prior to 1/1/24: A Bachelor’s degree with completed coursework and internship is acceptable
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
Active Maryland Dietitian Licensure (or Compact License if applicable)
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential
BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
Preferred Experience
Experience in:
Teaching or Community Hospital settings
Pediatric Rehabilitation Facilities
~ Travel experience not required
