Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Pipe Support Designer.

Pay: $27-30/hr DOE

Schedule: 1st shift, MON-FRI.

This position is located in Sevier County, TN with a manufacturer of industrial pipe support systems. This company has a product range of over 16,000 standardized items. They are seeking an experienced designer to help with generating detailed design and engineering piping and component supports and restraints (hangers) drawings for standard component supports, restraints, and hanger products. General duties will consist of:

Generating technical communications, conceptual designing of piping and component supports and restraints
Expert use of 2-D CAD programs (AutoCAD) to meet specified customer requirements.
Some familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III and ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code
Must be capable of preparing and checking 2D and 3D representations of hanger designs within a computer aided plant simulation environment.
Work with hanger Design Supervisor / liaison between CAD Techs, Project Managers, and other design personnel - internal and external to manufacturer
Requirements / Qualifications:

Vocational and technical schools' certifications/diplomas in AutoCAD
5+ years of experience in 3-D modeling environment working specifically on pipe supports.
Associate's degree in industrial design or engineering is preferred.
Knowledgeable of the industry safety and procedural requirements.
Working knowledge of and/or experience with ASME 31.1 and Section 8 nuclear requirements desired
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office software required in job.
Conceptualization skills are required to visualize finished products and projects. Skills in computer aided drafting techniques, and structural drafting preferred.
Goal-focused, thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
Excellent oral/written communication and creative problem-solving skills. Possess the ability to communicate with and transfer information to and from the customer and transfer drawing or report information to and from other engineers & technicians.
