Bloomberg Radio has a rare opportunity for a motivated, hardworking part-time reporter/anchor to join its audio team. We are looking for an experienced journalist who is an excellent writer, producer, and broadcaster. This position requires complete ownership of on-air reports, from story selection, to story order, to scripts and on-air delivery. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive writing experience, good news judgement, and a strong on-air presence and delivery. This part-time reporter/anchor must thrive under pressure, be a self-starter and take a team-oriented approach. This position requires flexible hours to accommodate business needs.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Write, produce, and deliver on-air news reports

• Meet strict on-air deadlines with both live and prerecorded reports

• Run and operate an audio console during live broadcasts

• Record, edit and mix digital audio for broadcast

• Produce feature reports incorporating sound bites, music, and other production elements

• Communicate and collaborate directly with reporters, editors, producers and managers across the newsroom

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

• IMPORTANT: Candidates are encouraged to submit an audio or video aircheck of on-air newscast(s)

• Strong on-air presentation skills

• Exceptional broadcast writing skills

• Demonstrated ability to perform on-air reports in major markets

• Proficiency with Adobe Audition or other audio editing software

• Proficiency with newsroom software systems such as ENPS, and agility with Windows

• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, nights and weekends

• Ability to adjust working schedule as business needs require

Salary Range = 40 - 50 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
