Job Description

Cassia, a leading provider of senior care and services is seeking a self-motivated and experienced  Registered Dietitian to join our team on an on-call basis! This is a great opportunity for a dedicated professional who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults while enjoying a flexible schedule. This unique position provides clinical nutrition support to our senior living campuses as needed and assist with special project rollouts. Some work may be done remotely, with occasional travel to various Cassia locations.
 
As an On-Call   Registered Dietitian at Cassia , you will collaborate with on-site leaders and culinary teams to create individualized nutrition plans that promote residents’ health and well-being. You’ll also provide guidance and education to help residents achieve their personal goals. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through expert nutrition care and hands-on collaboration. 

Position Type: On-Call

Wage Range: $30.00 - $38.00 / hour depending on experience

Registered Dietitian Responsibilities:  

• Coordinate nutritional care of patients and patients by completing nutritional assessments, MDS’s and care plans.
• Conducts a nutrition assessment for patients at nutritional risk per facility policies and procedures
• Develops and implements an individualized plan for nutrition intervention based on nutrition assessment and evidence-based standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in meetings and/or rounds
• Experience with electronic charting, the Nutrition Care Process and writing PES statements to provide appropriate documentation for the care plan
• Works cooperatively with food service staff to ensure conformance to diet prescriptions
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information
• At least one year of acute care dietitian experience OR heavy in-patient clinical internship rotations
• Participate in care planning meetings, as required
• Provide nutritional counseling and education for patients and family
• Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards

  Registered Dietitian Qualifications:

• Must be actively registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Current licensure to practice in Minnesota
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with electronic charting
• Familiarity with state survey process and compliance to nutrition care regulation
