Reliability Engineer

Position Summary:
A well-established industrial operation is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join its Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent, this role will apply engineering principles to improve, design, and support equipment, facilities, and processes used in production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical and mechanical background, along with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring equipment issues and propose solutions to minimize downtime.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies that ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Supervise contractors in compliance with safety regulations.
Evaluate equipment specifications and design modifications that align with existing manufacturing capabilities.
Use CAD and other engineering software to design or improve equipment and processes.
Plan and execute capital and expense projects, including budgeting, contractor selection, and project oversight.
Provide technical insight into manufacturing methods, materials, and process improvements.
Analyze performance data for new and existing equipment and suggest improvements.
Stay current with industry developments and best practices.
Assist in the design and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
8–10 years of engineering experience with strong electrical and mechanical expertise.
Reliability certification preferred.
Manufacturing and CMMS experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance or operations preferred.
Familiarity with federal mining regulations (MSHA).
Experience with mine ventilation systems, shaft maintenance, or material handling systems a plus.
