Communication Helpers of South Houston, Inc., has been in operation since 2012. It is owned and operated by an experienced pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist who services patients with speech and language disabilities in the southeast Houston area.

Areas serviced include: Clear Lake, South Houston, Pasadena, La Porte, Deer Park, Galena Park, Baytown, and surrounding areas of South East Houston.

Patients range from non-schoolers to school age children. Service settings include homes, daycares, and some school settings. The SLP provides services by contracting with various pediatric home health agencies in Houston but also has established direct relationships with various pediatricians in the South Houston area. We are a smaller operation which we feel provides better patient care on an individual basis but also from a professional standpoint, this opportunity assures routine supervision by the owner/SLP, and support for SLP assistants and full-time hours.

We are currently accepting applications for a bilingual licensed SLP Assistant to provide speech and language therapy and to support in assessment of bilingual patients. The current caseload consists of 15-20 patients which amounts to 30-40 speech therapy visits per week. Visit length is 30 minutes. This is a contract position and contracted SLP Assistants are paid at a per visit rate. Professional Liability Insurance will be provided. Candidate has the potential to earn more than $70,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Perform therapy sessions weekly and review goals and progress with caregiver
-Provide Caregiver education with each visit.
-Complete daily documentation and progress updates as required. -Maintain a positive, professional relationship with families
-Meet with SLP 2x weekly at patient location or via zoom for supervision.
Minimum Requirements: -Current Texas licensure as an SLP Assistant (is preferred), Bachelors is required Can provide licensure hours as part of hiring process if needed. Hours to get your license can be provided if needed.
-Drivers license, car insurance and reliable transportation
-Current CPR card
-Current negative TB test
-Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year

Therapist utilizes appropriate COVID precautions including screenings, temperature checks at and prior to therapy appointments. As a precaution Therapists that are not vaccinated at this time are asked to wear a mask for theirs and patient protection.
