Job Description

Piper Companies is searching for an experienced Clinical Research Nurse (CRC Nurse) to join a leading clinical research organization and site network dedicated to improving patient access and outcomes in clinical trials. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and conducting clinical trial procedures, ensuring compliance with protocols, and delivering high-quality care to participants.

This is an on-site position, Monday - Friday, in Ames, IA. No weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Nurse:

Coordinate and conduct clinical trial procedures according to protocol requirements
Perform technical and clinical tasks such as:
- Venipuncture, specimen processing, vital signs, ECGs
- IV infusions, IV pump operations, Holter monitoring
- Pulmonary function testing, allergy testing
- Urine/serum pregnancy testing, strep throat screening
- Administer injections (IM or SQ)
Collect and document patient data accurately and efficiently
Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and enrollment
Provide nursing care and support to trial participants
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and quality data collection

Qualifications of the Clinical Research Nurse:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
LPN required; RN preferred
Prior experience in clinical research coordination (preferred)
Strong understanding of GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Compensation for the Clinical Research Nurse:
• Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000/year
• Comprehensive Benefits: Sick leave if required by law, medical, dental, vision, 401K, Holidays, PTO
